The Carer Centre Clubhouse full range of clubs, courses, groups and events which are free to Carers who are registered with us.
The Carer Clubhouse is situated at Fishwick House, Cotham Street, WA10 1SJ and can be found opposite from St Helens Town Hall.

This 3 session course over 3 weeks will give you the opportiunity to learn more about dementia and how it affects your loved one.
Week 1 Questions and answer session on symptoms.
Week 2 Communication with practical tips on how to communicate with a person living with Dementia, how to recognise when change is needed to support the person with their changing needs.
Week 3 Well-being including why it is important for the person living with dementia to be occupied and how we can make life better for them.

Would you know what to do if someone stopping breathing, had a stroke or began to choke? Would you know what to do with a defibrillator? This short interactive fun workshop would show you what to do in various emergency situations. This is a course that shouldn’t be missed as you could save someone’s life. The training is delivered by a qualified member of The Red Cross and loose comfortable clothing is recommended for this session.
St Helens Law will be delivering this session which this time is covering Court of Protection. You will receive useful information on the above subjects and be able to discuss matters with the qualified staff member on that day.
Come and create your own summer Jewellery with the help of our Tutor, Doris. All materials are provided, and you will be shown how to make your own personalised item which you can take home with you. This course runs for 5 weeks, and you will be shown how to improve your skills to access the web and online safety. Learn how to use a tablet/iPad and access the web and navigate safely to search for useful information, complete online forms, and communicate and keep in touch with Family and Friends. This course is run by Adult & Community Learning and all iPads are supplied by them for the course.

This 4-week course aims to support Carers of those with severe long term mental health conditions to understand and develop relationships to support their caring role.
