The Carer Centre Clubhouse full range of clubs, courses, groups and events which are free to Carers who are registered with us.
The Carer Clubhouse is situated at Fishwick House, Cotham Street, WA10 1SJ and can be found opposite from St Helens Town Hall.

Many of our events need a pre booking, if this is the case you can book on by pressing the button below each event and we will confirm your place within a few days. Sometimes we have last minute cancellations, so you can always telephone us on the day to see if there is a place available.

Journaling - 3 Week Course - 12th, 19th, 26th November: 10am -12noon
Come along and learn what Journaling is and how it can help you to relax and unwind. Over the 3 Sessions you will build a personalised journal by choosing from activities and methods. We will explore different journaling types and techniques that can help wellbeing and daily life.

If you are a Carer and need help with Universal Credit including digital support, just drop in between 10am – 1pm on any Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) to our Main Carers Centre in Baldwin Street. This Group provides support and a social environment for Carers who have ended their caring responsibilities in whatever circumstances. Come along and enjoy a chat and a cuppa in The Clubhouse with like-minded others while taking care of your own wellbeing and health. No need to book on this informal session which is held monthly.

Whether you are a fully fledged player or an absolute beginner, guitar, ukulele, banjo or whatever. This group is for you. Its a relaxed Friday mid afternoon group, with a cuppa, and sounds! All carers welcome to this friendly group which meets weekly.

Miniature Christmas Crafts - Monday 24th November 2025: 12.30pm - 3.30pm
Recreate your own Miniature Christmas memories with our Tutor as she demonstrates how to do it in miniature form. No materials are required as we provide them all for you to produce a unique Christmas keepsake which you can then take home to treasure.

Quizzers Night with a Hot Dog. Come and join in the fun and the winning team have a chance of opening the box for a prize. Come alone or in a team.

A Talk on the history of Saints RLFC - Wednesday 26th November 2025: 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Come along and enjoy the history of ‘The Saints’ in a talk given by Alex Service, a sports Historian. He will answer any questions that he is asked in an informal discussion while sharing his knowledge and experience over the years. There may even be shirts and programmes from the decades for you to look at during the afternoon. Today’s session will be all about the Sixes ? Come along and enjoy this wonderful afternoon.

Looking to unwind, get creative, and soak up some festive vibes? Join us for Christmas Craft & Chill, a relaxed and fun Christmas-themed craft session.
Whether you're a seasoned DIY pro or just looking for a cozy way to get into the holiday spirit, this session has something for everyone.
This is for registered Young Adult Carers Only aged 18-25

Parent Carer (SEND) Support Group/Coffee Morning - Thursday 27th November 2025 - 10am - 12 noon
These sessions take place on the last Thursday of the month. Come along and find out more about the services that can support you and your Family. The sessions are informal and a great opportunity for you to meet other Parent Carers.
At this session our colleagues from TESSA (Targeted Education Support & Specialist Advice) will also be in attendance.
Tessa , Triage for all Education Support and Specialist Advice for educational settings supporting children and young people.
They also:
- Deliver the Autism Education Trust Professional Development Programme & Autism in Schools Project
- Model and demonstrate autism friendly strategies in the classroom
- Offer specialist advice for teachers and support staff
- Offer Enhanced Transition Support in Y6 and Y11 for children with complex needs
- Provide bespoke individual person-centred work
- Offer support in preparing for adulthood and life skills work
- Offer support with independent travel training

First Aid - Friday 28th November 2025: 10am – 11.30am
Would you know what to do if someone stopped breathing, had a stroke, or began to choke? Would you know how to use a defibrillator? This short interactive fun workshop shows you what to do in various emergency situations. This course shouldn’t be missed as you could save someone life. The training is delivered by Carmel who is a qualified member of The Red Cross. Comfortable and loose clothing is recommended for this session.

Welfare/Disability Benefits Drop-in Clinic - Thursday 4th December 2025 - 10am – 3pm
Do you need a Welfare Benefits check or have any questions about the welfare or disability benefits the person you care for is receiving or may be entitled to? Drop in on one of these special days without an appointment. Alternatively, you can call us on 01744 675 615 to book a telephone appointment at a more convenient time. This clinic is held at our Carers Centre at 31-35 Baldwin Street.

Christmas Jewellery Making - Thursday 4th December 2025: 1pm - 3pm
Create your own Jewellery with the help of our Tutor. You will be shown how to make your very own personalised item which you can then take home with you. No skills are required for this session just come along and enjoy a cuppa with other Carers.

Reiki Introduction - Monday 8th December 2025: 10am – 12 Noon
Unwind before Christmas and relax and come along to this session and experience what Reiki is, the meaning of how it works and its benefits. Our qualified Tutor will demonstrate how it can balance areas in the body while increasing energy levels. Reiki can also be used as a complimentary therapy.

Memory Loss Carers Support Group - Tuesday 9th December 2025 - 1.00pm – 3.00pm
If you care for someone with Dementia, come along and meet with our support worker and other Carers in a similar situation for a relaxed catch up, some information a chat and a cuppa. No need to book - this group meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
