Carers Café

Every Monday, 10am - 12pm

Open to all Carers, the café offers a welcoming space to take some time for yourself, meet new people, make friends, and enjoy a chat with others who understand the challenges of being a Carer. Whether you'd like to socialise, relax with a cup of tea, or simply enjoy a change of scenery, you'll be warmly welcomed. No booking required - just drop in!

Parent Carer Circle Group

1st Tuesday of every month, Afternoon: 12:30pm - 2:30pm, Evening: 5pm - 7pm

This group is for Parent Carers of Children and Young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or mental health needs. This includes children and young people with learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, physical or sensory disabilities, and mental health challenges such as, anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, school-based anxiety, or substance misuse. 

The group provides: 

  • Peer support from other Parent Carers. 
  • Information, advice, and guidance on services, assessments, and available support. 
  • Practical strategies for managing behaviours and emotions. 
  • Guest speakers from local organisations and specialist services. 
  • Support to help you maintain your own wellbeing while caring for your child. 

The group aims to reduce isolation, increase confidence, and help families access the support they need.

Memory Loss Carers Group

2nd Tuesday of every month, 1-3pm

If you care for someone with Memory Loss, our friendly and informal group is a chance for you to speak with other carers in a similar situation over a tea/coffee. A member of our Wellbeing team will be there to provide information and support. No booking required - just drop in!

Men's Meet Up

3rd Tuesday of every month, 10am - 12pm

Men's Meetup is a monthly get-together for male carers. It's a chance to get out of the house, have a brew, meet other people with shared experiences and enjoy a couple of hours that are just for you. Caring can take up a lot of time and energy, so this is an opportunity to step away from those responsibilities for a while, try something different, and spend time with others in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn something new or simply enjoy some time for yourself, Men's Meetup is about friendship, connection and being part of a positive community.

Carers Quiz Night

4th Tuesday of each month, 6.30pm - 9pm

Quizzers Night with a Hot Dog! Come and join in the fun and the winning team have a chance of opening the box for a prize. Come alone or in a team.

Young Adult Carer Group

2nd Wednesday of every month, 5-7pm

The Young Adult Carers Social Group is a relaxed, friendly space for young people (aged 18 up to their 25th Birthday) who support a family member or friend. It’s a place to unwind, meet others who “get it,” and take a break from the pressures of caring. Whether you’re looking for support, new friends, or just a bit of time for yourself, you’re welcome here. There’s no pressure to share anything personal—just come as you are.

Caring With Pride - LGBTQ+ Social & Support Group

2nd Thursday of each month, 1pm – 3pm

Do you identify as LGBTQ+ and have caring responsibilities for a family member, partner or friend who could not manage without your support due to an illness, disability, metal health condition, or substance misuse? 

Our LGBTQ+ Carers Support Group offers a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space to: 

  • Meet and connect with other LGBTQ+ Carers 
  • Share similar experiences and support one another 
  • Access information, advice, and wellbeing opportunities 
  • Reduce isolation and build supportive networks

Book Club

2nd Thursday of every month, 6-8pm

A warm, welcoming and interactive space for readers who love great stories and even better conversations. Whether you’re a casual reader or a reading enthusiast, you’ll find friendly faces along with lively discussions about books over a glass of wine or a cuppa. As this will be our very first session, we are inviting you to bring one of your favourite books or to share a memory of a piece of work that moved/inspired you! Future books and resources will be provided by St Helens Carers Centre. No booking required - just drop in!  

Mental Health Group

3rd Thursday of every month, 10:30pm - 12:30pm

Do you care for an Adult aged 18+ who is living with a mental health condition

This is a friendly, informal space where you can connect with others who understand. Share experiences, access information and support, and take some time to focus on your own wellbeing.

No booking required - just drop in!

Bingo

3rd Thursday of each month, 1.30pm – 3pm

This session is free, hilarious but extremely popular so you must book in advance. Come along for a chance to have some fun with other Carers.

4th Thursday of each month, Afternoon Session: 1pm – 2:30pm, Evening Session: 6pm – 7:30pm

Caring for an Adult (25+) with a Learning Disability and/or Autism? This monthly support group offers a relaxed space where you can meet other Carers who truly understand your experiences. Whether you're looking for practical information & advice, emotional support, advice about future planning or simply want to chat with people who "get it", this group is for you.
